Research Funded By The NECCR
Research funded by the NECCR focuses on 2 main areas:
- Studies of how the body handles anti cancer drugs and finding the best way to obtain maximum benefit with minimum side effects.
- Population studies to learn more about childhood cancer and its causes.
Much of the NECCR funded research is done in the Children's Cancer Reseach Unit and the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University. Research is published and results are used around the world.
