The two day festival in aid of North East Children’s Cancer Research, based at Newcastle RVI will take place at The Seahorse, Whitley Bay Football Club on Saturday 27th October and Sunday 28th October from 4pm to 11pm.

Some of the region’s top acts have signed up to for the event, with the line up for Saturday 27th October including, The Dirty South, Kneejerk Reaction, The Bandits, Captain Rock, On The Level and Vertigo.

Bands taking to the stage on Sunday 28th October to help raise the roof for charity will include, Sabbatica, Tommy and The Oddballs, The Mudsharks, Rockerfella, Sticky Fingers and The Steve Gilroy Band.

Event Organiser, Tony Gilroy, said: “It’s going to be a terrific weekend for rock fans. We have some of the most successful bands in the region lined up. Ticket holders can come and go as they like throughout the day. So they can come and see one act early in the evening and then leave and come back to see another band later in the night. All of the bands are offering their services for free and we hope to raise over £4,000.”

Proceeds from the event will go towards helping to fund research into the cause and treatment of childhood cancer. Tickets cost £5 per day and are available from the end of August. Tickets may be purchased from Whitley Bay FC or by contacting Tony Gilroy on 079 30974913 or emailing
