The Biscuit Factory has announced North of England Children’s Cancer Research (NECCR) and its sister charity Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF) as its first-ever charity partners.
Our much-loved North East fun-run has broken its record for fundraising this year providing a vital boost to funding for research into childhood cancers.
Wayne Clark from Darlington is our fundraiser of the month, inspired by his son Reuben who was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma in 2016 at the age of 16 months. Sadly Reuben lost his life in August 2017 aged just 2 years old.
Hundreds of runners braved challenging conditions on Sunday 29th September to take part in the first-ever Carlisle Children’s Cancer Run at Bitt’s Park. The new event was part of our 40th anniversary celebration plans in 2019 and surpassed all our expectations!
August is a very special month for the family and friends of Louis Anderson. Not only did Louis turn 13, but it is also 10 years since he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma aged 3 years old.
Longstanding supporter Paul Gurteen is our fundraiser of the month. He has been fundraising over the past 30 years with all sorts of activities, the biggest being a very big bike ride!
