With COVID-19 changing the world as we know it, we need your help and support more than ever.
Childhood cancer is still the No.1 cause of non accidental death in children in the UK – and this hasn’t changed during the pandemic. This year, we’ve been unable to fundraise through our physical events and this has left us with a dramatic drop in income.
We take great care with every pound donated, keeping the staff team small, expenses low and directing every possible pound to childhood cancer research at Newcastle University’s Centre for Cancer.
Treatments for children’s cancer have improved massively over the past forty years, and the money you’ve helped raise over this time has helped Newcastle become a world-leading centre for both research and treatment of children’s cancer.
BUT – there’s still a great deal of work to do and we’ll keep fundraising until a cure is found for every type of childhood cancer.
